1966 Mustang GT convertible with restoration to top Driven Show standards and finished in just fantastic CandyApple Red with the White GT side striping, dual chrome standard outside mirrors, this contrasts with the gorgeous full White 1965 Pony interior Décor group, GT factory wood steering wheel, new working Rally Pac is just installed, this has the long factory console, white power top, a real Driven Show car with a great history, there are 3 hard cover files of the exacting documentation, also one can see the photo (LINK) of the car at the prior owner’s home to add to the photos taken by Fraser Dante, see the (LINK) of the Window Sticker, this has the breakdown of the last owner/restorer’s personal notes on the numbers (LINK), has the specific breakdown of the proper engine numbers, this documented rebuilt 289cid engine that is set up with the expensive Cobra valve covers, Autolite 4v 4100 carburetor, really just great compression, correct dual GT exhaust system, Ford power steering, fresh C-4 automatic transmission, just now note the expensive fully just rebuilt 3.50:1 open correct rear end installed, then the drive shafts checked, has the proper 1966 styled steel wheels with the trim rings and red center caps, has brand new expensive 195/75/14 radial whitewalls just installed, simply just lots of documentation, this has photos of the build with these initial photos just now posted (LINK), Ford sheet metal used in restoration, the updated metal work on this car is just outstanding, since this had sat for a long time in a static collection before acquiring by Fraser Dante, showing items that this was a carefully cared for restoration that was in a static collection, this came in with tires with great tread but were 20 years old from the collection, now with the brand new 196/75/R14 whitewall Hankook radials just being installed, has the full checking of the GT brakes including the new front disc pads and excellent rear shoes, all ball joints and tie rod ends are new, this will drive great after having the long time collector history, really just a striking presentation, has a spare and jack, now a professional tune and full prep at the Fraser Dante shop for Spring 2021, full professional tune, completely new fluids, all the lighting being checked, a tremendous amount of past history and record of work that is in a large file that comes with the car, tinted windshield this is just like the Red with White GT convertible shown a Mustang historical books (SEE LINK),

Interior: gorgeous full White 1965 (D5)Pony interior Décor group, this interior was used in the restoration as it is much prettier and more desired than the 1966 Parchment or Palomino interior, GT factory wood steering wheel, new working Rally Pac is just installed, beautiful dash and gauges, this has the long factory console, white power top, aftermarket Mustang AM/FM/Cassette radio,

brakes/rear end: in order for great stopping ability, this has the proper GT disc braking system with the correct single line GT master cylinder, the front disc brakes have been checked with fresh new front brake pads, also this has the rebuilt rear drum brakes that are being checked at the Fraser Dante shop…this GT came in with a 2.80:1 rear end installed by the last owner, now this is upgraded with a fully rebuilt, expensive rear end gear that is just built by our NASCAR technical shop in Mooresville, North Carolina, the rear end ratio of the chunk we are using is the 3.50:1 open rear end with all new gears and bearings, axle shafts are also checked, this is most expensive operation as this full axel is taken and picked up from Mooresville, the home of most of the NASCAR teams like Penske, our builder does full suspensions and runs a couple of teams out of this shop…great effort for top quality, photos will be posted of the final rear end build,

wheels/tires: a very expensive area and are hard to get…here this has the show quality desirable 1966 chrome styled steel wheels in the 14×6 size, has the proper outside polished trim rings, correct lug nuts and red center caps that look really great, now we have also just now fitted with the brand new 195/75/R14 Hankook radial whitewalls (LINK) mounted, balanced and just installed, here is another real added plus as often these classic Mustangs are not fitted with the brand new radials, Fraser Dante has added this new expensive tire installation as they are safer and handle so well, solid underchassis (LINK),

Engine: this engine is fully rebuilt with photos of the build in the initial restoration, (LINK) the correct 289cid engine with all the notes of being factory correct and matching numbers with the first restoration  (LINK), very exacting go along with the car, this block that do along with the heads that even dated the same day are rare and they are very clean, this comes with lots of great historical documentation of the build, see the (LINK), also there is confirmation of the numbers pulled by Fraser Dante in December 2020 to confirm (LINK), fresh show MCA Cobra dress up kit, Cobra expensive valve covers, Hi-Po air cleaner and orange filter, has the proper C6 intake and the Autolite 4100 carburetor, see the engine compression just taken that shows really a just remarkable 148 to 153 psi in a dry/cold reading just taken (LINK), this is far better than stock, has a restored radiator by Fraser Dante for great cooling, new hoses, clamps and belts, the work includes this unit is fully tuned by the professionals at Fraser Dante in the final prep, the full upgraded  expensive new strong DuraLast Gold battery with 750 cold cranking amps for great starting, has the new proper cables (LINK), the engine bay is detailed to MCA driven show presentation, the full tune completed is with new show Ford C5OZ spark plug wires, new Autolite copper core ‘45’ spark plugs (SEE LINK), the timing and valves are professionally set, (LINK)

oil/fluids: the fluids are fresh, the radiator flushed with fresh coolant to -20o, racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection (LINK), note this step is the top racing quality oil that can only engines without a catalytic converter, this was done and driven, then checked in our shop and the oil and dipstick are crystal clear, 

Costs for 2020 upward: as a builder/restorer of classic Mustangs, the parts chain supply stream is either cut off or very limited supply, when we get our needed restoration parts, the costings are very much higher than before, the value of the build costing of these quality Mustangs is climbing higher, having been in business for many years, Fraser Dante has a large stock of needed parts for these cars that cover most of our needs, we run a professional shop with full time staff along with expert subs for specifics that have worked with us for years, in short, the values of the top quality classic 1965-1966 convertibles and 2+2s Mustangs are strongly climbing,
