1974 Triumph TR6 that is a beautiful restored example of an excellent Driven Show condition car with very top fresh mechanicals…finished in extremely striking presentation of the correct and original ’72’ Pimento Red color as shown by the photos here of the car being prepped for paint, has the Original Data Tag LINK and then also the dual TR6 color cards that show what the stock color are for each year (LINK), front lower chin spoiler, a freshly maintained with the correct 6 cylinder 2.5 liter engine, very strong compression, factory intake, has the engine set up for show, a new Peco uprated exhaust system, the car works very well with the proper rebuilt 4-speed transmission, this performs superbly as a very strong and smooth power, engine nicely detailed, just prepared for the collector who demands a great fresh tune and top running condition car quality, this has the dual hard to find dual #175 Strombergs D carburetors with factory air cleaner…these are just set by top English technician, the valves are freshly adjusted, the gauges work, new 12 volt battery, very nice wood dash, all new carpet, new convertible soft top, rear cover, great expensive radial redline tires, four correct 15” fully restored factory stamped wheels set up with lug nuts and new chrome trim rings, just excellent underchassis showing ‘as factory’ with recent detailing just completed, the nice trunk is set forth to show standards, all the lighting is checked and works, the final build and road testing completed with fresh fuel by the Fraser Dante professional shop along with detailing just completed for excellent Driven Show ready for Summer 2019, a really nice piece,

History: this appears to be a 3 owner car that has just could be very low mile chassis from condition of chassis and information supplied, believed to be the very original complete and rare rust free body, (LINK), hard to find such a good body and really rust free and solid underchassis, the final buffing and polishing for Summer 2019 is just completed as this is prepared for Driven Show conditions, full trunk detail (LINK),

Engine: this has great and smooth performance with a car dry weight of 2438 lbs with the strong 2.5 litre engine, it works very well in today’s ‘real world’, set up with the new Moss Motors proper green show hoses and clamps just installed, with the factory 101 rated horsepower and very strong torque, fresh full new throttle bushings and great linkage connected with new fuel lines to the dual Stromberg Carburetors, numbered 175 CD-2 on both, they are mounted on the Stanpart Aluminum intake manifold proper #V3265, this carb setup is very valuable as they are not available in the reproduction today, then these stock carbs are matched with the proper factory head #V3265,

In order for this very proper engine bay to present well for top Driven Show and also be fresh for great cooling, then the brand new set of green very correct factory hoses with the proper clamps from Moss Motors are just installed (SEE LINK), in this process then the coolant is just flushed and replaced,

The Fraser Dante professional shop then did the final road check and just road tested as a very ‘spirited’ driver, new expensive NGK ‘Cooper Plus’ spark plugs for Summer 2019 (LINK), the electrics work great, then we checked the level of the transmission fluid was good, then we checked the rear end and the dope is fine,

racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection, (LINK), note this step is the top racing quality oil that can only engines without a catalytic converter, new 12-volt battery just installed, this is the best quality we can find, has excellent cables and connections, the headlights are sealed beam units, all of the lighting is checked including brakes for safety and the backup lights working,

Tires/Wheels: this TR6 has the stock restored good looking factory steel wheels, trim rings and center caps, very correct with the argent color, there is also a new $1200 upgrade for the very expensive new wheels that are 15×5.5” alloy Minilites replicas with a set of the brand new expensive Michelin Defender 205/70/15 blackwall radials just installed, another choice for upgrades are the true knockoff version wheels with the new hubs to be installed for the 15” Dayton wire wheels optional factory selection, these are presented in the original argent color with only about 400 miles on them, the tires on these wheels are older 205/70/R15 B.F.Goodrich blackwalls, in order to make these KO argent wires work well, it is recommended that another set of brand new expensive Michelin Defender 205/70/15 blackwall radials be mounted and then balanced by our specialty sub, this whole operation is a $1400 upgrade…either choice is perfect!

Summary: really a terrific British sports car with smooth and powerful straight 6 cylinders, very easy to maintain and get parts, Fraser Dante and its team has now done a fresh check just completed for safe driving enjoyment, really looks so nice with ‘great eyes’ and really performs wonderfully with the final attention by the staff at Fraser Dante ready for Summer 2019
