A simply fantastic original body metal and gorgeous paint along with a superior underchassis, stock appearing a very strong custom built 302++cid with full vating, line bored, has complete balancing,  rated at 335+++horsepower, full Edelbrock aluminum heads on the top end, real Shelby Cobra dated intake manifold, new Edelbrock 4v, Cobra ‘T’ pan, Hi-Po manifolds that lead to the aluminized Shelby dual exhaust system, this will show as detailed virtually factory stock in the engine bay when finished, 335++ horsepower, 5-speed Tremec transmission, new NASCAR quality 9” positraction rear end, 3.50:1 3” black powder coated tubes for the rear end, lower traction bars, heavy duty lower springs, both front and rear sway bars, working period dash tach, new alloy Shelby 15×7 wheels, new blackwall radials, great solid correct red oxide underchassis, simply the finest Shelby uprated clone built from a very rare car…this car will outperform the stock 1966 Shelby GT 350R yet will look so very stock like factory produced, here is the very desired ‘modern’ Shelby as ‘resto’ drivetrain with all the excellent sheet metal that appears to be ‘as factory’ and the great underchassis that is so very solid and prepared for driven show, the best 2+2 and the rarest that Fraser Dante has every built,

BODY: just a gorgeous Shelby Wimbledon White color with the full length Shelby blue stripes, here is a very rare and wonderful 2+2 with original, stamped factory fender aprons and the core supports, original detailed floors, original quarter panels with only a small lower patch panel in the right hand quarter nicely done, has the fiberglass with steel reinforced Shelby hood with hood pins, Shelby Lexan quarter glass, R-Code fiberglass front bumper, the side scoops are installed with bolts so that they will stay firmly in place, this still has the factory Carlite glass in front windshield, rear and side glass…see the Original Factory Data Tag, a very rare piece that is really an investment grade car  (LINK),

ENGINE: here is a great power plant better than factory with the new engineering and design of the engine has been set forth by the professionals at Fraser Dante, this is built to look very stock Shelby GT350 under the hood, a strong 302cid+++ block was chosen by Fraser Dante for the complete build, the goal is to look like a driven show car under the hood but yield stronger and reliable performance, (SEE THE LINK OF INVOICE), the power is better than a 1965 Shelby that was rated at 306 horsepower with solid lifters that needed to be adjusted on the iron heads, now we this to be 335++ horsepower and 345 ft/lbs of torque, with the aluminum performance hydraulic lifter heads plus the Shelby aluminum intake manifold, the front end will also be lighter than new and also cool the engine better, the 302cid engine has received excellent machine shop work, it was completely vatted, this was line bored to +.40 with the freshly built 305++cid, fitted with the uprated ‘hypereutectic’ pistons for performance and weight, then it had the fully balanced rotating assembly, (LINK) full real correct Shelby aluminum intake manifold and the new FelPro gaskets, the hydraulic lifter aluminum heads are fitted with the Performer Camshaft, the rocker arms are chosen to be the Sealed Power units along with the Sealed Power pushrods, pivot balls and nuts, these are used to clean the stock Shelby Cobra finned valve covers, the uprated Edelbrock AVS 2 650 cfm 4V brand new carburetor that is just available is used, electronic ignition, Hi-Po headers are used to clean the engine bay to go to the side exhaust, flex fan with fan shroud, Autolite battery, HD show cables, expensive finned aluminum Cobra valve covers, has the deep sump Cobra T finned oil pan, new water pump, the new hi-po Edelbrock hi-flow fuel pump for the higher horsepower engine is used,

racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection (LINK), said oil gives the proper zinc for the lubrication of the engine, very few shops go this extra to insure the good operation of the engine, the built engine is shown on the stand before the install (LINK), Plastigage photos (LINK), now under the hood, this is prepared to look like a 1965/1966 Shelby stock appearance, for chassis strength, it features the one-piece export brace plus the Shelby Monte Carlo bar, like a very period stock piece,

transmission: here is another improvement over original, the transmission is the modern uprated Tremec 5-speed unit with the lower first gear along with the tall 5th gear, the best to drive, has a new shift unit, the comes with a custom balanced driveshaft to handle the power without vibrations, if the new owner wants to go back to a 4-speed with stock linkage, that can also be done,

INTERIOR: here is the fully restored interior that looks ‘as factory, it has the proper Shelby black standard interior…Tri-spoke wood Moto-Lita Shelby steering wheel, proper Shelby dash mounted working tachometer, black standard vinyl interior and door panels, fold down rear seat, emergency flasher system located in glove box, Shelby GT350 floor mats, front racing heavy duty safety belts,

BRAKES/SUSPENSION: here is built a special rear end…all the K’ Code Mustangs and Shelby’s came from Ford with a 9” rear end…the original tubes were 3” tapering to 2 ½”…here great effort is expended to make the handing and stopping the breaking aspect to be better than the original 1965-6 Shelby’s, this very expensive set up is coordinated with our own shop and our NASCAR builder supplier, then special brackets are made by a Fraser Dante steel contractor for the special brackets we designed to hold the full 3” power coated shafts, this is now held in place by the full longer ‘U’ bolts needed for the full shaft…this is improved over stock with the full Motive clear cut gears with a 3.50:1 positraction ratio…this rear end is brand new and built to our standards, also has a rear sway bar for excellent handling, lower traction bars can be installed that fit with the special brackets designed by Fraser Dante, Charlie Kemp, from the famous racing 1965 GT350 R model #23 feels that the car will corner better without said traction bars but they will work better in a straight line,

The top, top braking system is the very desirable dual line 4-wheel disc brakes just installed, these are new uprated Wilwood slotted 4 wheel disc red brake system, here is stopping better than the Charlie Kemp 1965 R Model #23 race car we sold for $984,500 with RM at Amelia Island, we have used these expensive slotted and drilled rotors along that has the full units all new with the brakes redone, for handling, new KYB heavy duty shocks installed, brand new strong springs, full alignment, a strong lowered Shelby suspension with fresh springs, has the Shelby Heavy Duty front sway bar, also a under hood Monte Carlo bar just as the GT 350s had, the Shelby type alloy wheels with performance black wall radial tires,

WHEELS/TIRES: here is a choice of wheels, we are using the new alloy 5 spoke Shelby 15×7 alloy lightweight replica special wheels that are just now available, they are mounted with the new BF Goodrich 225/60/15 Radial TA tires blackwall out, (LINK), looks terrific and adds to the handling, OR we could use the appropriate 14” 10 spoke Shelby alloys with the Radial TA’s for a second choice for the authentic appearance as original, both are balanced and look good,

Summary: A fully fantastic car with great build history, now prepared by Fraser Dante and just fantastic modern Shelby clone that is made from the very correct and very rare San Jose ‘R’ production and very correct ‘K’ chassis and built as a GT from the factory…exactly like all real Shelby’s came from (LINK)…terrific built engine with stock look under the hood, a fresh 9” chuck with 3” tube positraction rear end with 3.50:1 gears just built, when fully completed, this is looking stock under the hood while this will really perform better than the original Shelby…great car is taken maintaining all the appearance as factory, this car is this writer’s favorite car ever, a joy to own with fresh new build offered at $100,000
