1965 Mustang 2+2 that is a rare presentation today with the fantastic gorgeous brand new Vintage Burgundy Metallic base clear, built for the demanding collector, here is  a just wonderful striking cosmetic presentation with arrow straight body lines, the rebuilt proper dated 289cid engine has really just excellent strong compression (LINK), set up with the rebuilt Autolite 2v 2100 carb is mounted on the Ford C5 OE intake manifold, full detailed engine bay with great looking MCA Cobra kit, the rebuilt 289cid engine has great compression of 141 to 152 lbs. in a dry cold reading taken at Fraser Dante, full professional tune, new full aluminized GT dual exhaust system, believed the terrific rare original black bucket seated interior is ‘as factory’, new black carpet, proper door panels, has the working 1965 Rally Pac in proper black, all the brightwork including the bumpers look so very shiny, front tinted glass windshield, note that the brand new paint has the final wet sanding and buffing August 2020, ‘restored’ rare early build with exceptional believed low miles, this came from a top Mustang source who found this at a serious Ford Show, this has an upgraded GT package with the White GT stripes and GT full badging and lights, exhaust, optional backup lights, has the great uprated fresh strong mechanicals worked on by Fraser Dante to couple and awesome cosmetics with a terrific ‘C’ code body, has the original data tag (LINK), simply a really great black show quality clean underchassis, all the floors appear ‘as factory’, this mileage 1965 2+2 came to Fraser Dante having been used so little that we did immediate upgrades to make sure that this show quality 2+2 now drives so well, has the new Fraser Dante just installed the ‘Ram’ heavy duty full clutch system and turned the flywheel, has the 4-speed transmission with the uprated Hurst shifter, brand new heavy duty battery, has the full professional tune, four new Monroe blue heavy duty shocks, optional backup lights, brand new expensive and very hard to get Scott Drake Shelby 15×7 alloy wheels just installed, the new tires are the 225/60/R15 B.F. Goodrich white lettered Radial TA’s, these wheels are very hard to source today, came from the Fraser Dante private stock, this car is set up for the very demanding collector who wants both a gorgeous car plus the top end mechanicals, terrific chrome bumpers, this is a really striking presentation that is a rare find today, 

further upgrading by Fraser Dante: now note that this came to Fraser Dante with the stock drum brakes as it was initially factory produced, also it had no power steering, note: now included in our current pricing are the two very important items that most of the Fraser Dante customers really love…our great Mustang upgrades with the new power steering and power disc brakes, see our listed price includes these upgrades, we use the excellent Borgeson variable ratio power steering system that makes this so easy to drive, has the Saginaw style smaller and efficient pump, it is far better than the original Ford constant power steering that often leaks (LINK), our normal Fraser Dante customer install is $2890 costing for this upgrade, now also being installed is the excellent complete new CSRP power dual line GT inspired full complete front vented disc brake system that is being installed, this includes all parts from the new master cylinder to the premium slotted rotors and stainless steel brake hoses (SEE LINK), the normal costing of this for our customer is $2690, this professional install includes the many hours from the brake experts at the Fraser Dante shop in the finishing and the full install and then do the road testing, this is a really an impressive system, these calipers will also fit both the 14” and 15” sized Mustang wheels, our techs are really experts in these upgrades, just wetsanded and buffed (LINK), detailed trunk (LINK),

Engine/mechanicals:  this is the correct 289 cid/2v Mustang engine as per all the clearly seen factory date codes, the initial published specs of this famous 289cid with the bore of 4.00” and a short stroke of 2.57” is a free reviving engine is a great engineering piece, the rebuilt proper dated 289cid engine has really just excellent strong compression (LINK), the rebuilt 289cid engine is shown as it has great compression of 141 to 152 lbs. in a dry cold reading taken at Fraser Dante, this is set up with the rebuilt Autolite 2v 2100 carb is mounted on the Ford C5 OE intake manifold, the full detailed engine bay with great looking new MCA Cobra kit with the Hi-Po air filter, then this has the detailed proper exhaust manifolds that lead to a brand new aluminized dual exhaust system with new mufflers and hangers, this would be the best unit for actual strong street usage with reliability,

we have also installed the brand new ‘Ram’ heavy duty 10 ½” clutch system (SEE THE LINK), from our years of professional shop experience, Fraser Dante has chosen this strong system for the best performance street use, our HDX install includes new upgraded roller pilot bushing, 8 spring center hub, new pressure plate, throughout bearing, then the flywheel is turned to be glass smooth for the clutch to fit great, then Fraser Dante sets the clutch linkage along with the Hurst shift linkage, then final road testing,

oil/filter: then for engine maintenance, the oil and filter are now changed and upgraded thusly to protect the engine, Fraser Dante uses expensive special high-tech racing oil with added zinc content with Valvoline VR1 20-50 to insure long term performance, (LINK), these early non-catalytic engines need the heavy duty oil and the added zinc for lubrication purposes for these older engines, this is very costly and used only from shops who have top operations as Fraser Dante, all of this tune and check work now will insure great driving,

wheels/tires: to explain this expensive area today that is rare today are the new wheels for Mustangs that are very hard to source with deliveries uncertain along with the high prices for the wheels and the costly shipping, this terrific early 1965 2+2 has now from the Fraser Dante stock a new full set of wheels and tires, these brand new expensive and very hard to get are the Scott Drake Shelby 15×7 alloy wheels Shelby styled wheels just installed (SEE THE LINK OF THE NEW WHEELS), they have the center caps and new lug nuts, also installed are the very top quality new tires that are the 225/60/R15 B.F. Goodrich white lettered Radial TA’s, this combination fits the stock suspension, looks great and now delivers a better ride and handling than a stock Mustang,

underchassis: this has a very, very solid original exceptional underchassis, appears all the floors are original and rust free, it is cleaned and had some very light black thin coating applied years ago, then just now cleared to protect again in the recent new prep, this has just exceptional lower horizontal rocker valences, have the factory stampings very clearly seen on them, then the side ‘pinch welds’ on said lower valences are also so straight and rust free, great ‘as factory’, it is hard to find such an original great unmolested underchassis today, also a really great body, an original Data Tag still with the car

Costing notes: starting in mid-2020 onward, the costings to build and restore classic cars is climbing, we are faced with limited supply  from the orient today, even when we can find our top quality parts, paints and tires, our costings are way higher, shipping is higher, our own staff now takes serious health precautions on our shop to protect themselves, our insurance is higher, thusly as we go forward at Fraser Dante, we will keep up our very famous top quality but are forced to raise our prices with the big nut we have today,
