1978 MGB Convertible that is in absolutely beautiful condition and is truly a top Driven Show car, beautiful period Carmine Red color that looks just great for showing, stainless luggage rack, 4” front driving lights, has rare original miles of only 50,650 in 42 years, shows as only two owners just before the two Atlanta brothers became owners 3 & 4 and then to Fraser Dante, great history with a very, very extensive large receipt file for many years, many original documents, stamped Owner’s Card (LINK), factory promotional material and original MGB Driver’s Handbook (LINK), the paint and body are just terrific with a full show presentation just completed, the luggage rack sets this convertible off so well, the 4 cylinder 1798cc original engine is as new, the file shows head update work, really  great even compression, it runs so smoothly, fresh tune just completed by top British tech, has the desired uprated Weber carburetor setup, makes this engine work just terrific, has the new Tiger Paw 175/70/14 radial tires mounted on the stock wheels, ‘retro’ radio installed, the paint looks dynamic with the brand new professional wet sanding and buffing just completed (SEE LINK), has the newer Moss Motors Champagne with black trim vinyl interior installed (SEE LINK), the car finish is just outstanding with a terrific luster on a rust free low mileage MGB with final driving testing completed, the underchassis and the frame of this nice MGB are unmolested and so very solid, looks just like produced and well cared for, this comes with a period Haynes MGB Workshop Manual, also a hard cover book ‘MG SUPER PROFILE’ by Lindsay Porter (LINK),

Engine/transmission: a strong inline 4 cylinder engine with the displacement of 1799 cc/109.8 cid with advertised power of 62 horsepower, strong torque 88 ft/lb., this is even before the better carburetor, the 8.0:1 compression engine, one can tell this has had previous work on the engine since there are receipts in the file for head and valve work completed (LINK), the compression thusly has readings better than stock of 141 to 148 lbs in a dry/cold reading (LINK), fitted with an uprated long tube system that leads to the aluminized exhaust, uprated fuel pump recently installed (LINK) that adds to the great engine power, this now has all fresh high tech oil and filter  installed, has new spark plugs, the relatively small fuel tank of 13 US gallons for weight makes this 2416 pound car a blast to drive with a good cruising range, the fresh tuning just completed, the engine bay is extremely clean as nice new detailing completed,

interior/windshield: this has the Atlanta area receipt for the new install work of the Moss Motors Champagne with black trim full interior, we figure this project was some $3699 all in (LINK), also  has the center console, nice dash pad, uprated radio, note…this still has the rare XXX Triplex Laminated factory windshield, this is a valuable piece and confirms the good background, has the great dash pod with all the gauges working, Retro Sound am/fm radio system with external antenna, really nice Tri-spoke steering wheel with the stock original wheel that comes with the package,

Summary: has a full size spare with new radial tire, proper tire cover, has a really a great history with the large file, appears that the file confirms minimum costing that is receipted for $21,996 even before Fraser Dante finished their work (LINK), now ready Summer 2020 with the final updating and prep, offered at $14,950
