1966 Mustang Convertible Resto Build completed with an amazing fresh build with a stock straight gorgeous body that has great ‘eyes’…has now been upgraded to the very desired and expensive ‘modern resto’ Shelby type mechanical and cosmetic upgrades, finished in a really nice fresh paint in the original color of CandyApple Red with a very nice luster just completed, Shelby style hood with air intake scoop, Shelby style horizontal front grill, just finished with gorgeous paint work, the full interior has been also upgraded to the correct Parchment Pony interior, a modern console, with the nicely built very strong 302cid engine that has been upgraded with great compression, performance aluminum heads, roller rockers, push rod guide plates, performance cam, an aluminum intake and 4v carburetor, uprated electronic ignition, shorty ceramic coated headers for the dual GT exhaust system, Vintage air conditioning system, aluminum radiator system, this even has an additional front lower valence cooling designed system with the front lower air intake on the front valence, now for great driving, this very powerful engine with great sound, a heavy duty very positive strong clutch, the uprated 5-speed T5 transmission installed with the Hurst shifter powers the restored driveshaft to the positraction rear end, with the full new front end with the power rack and pinion steering, this drives amazing with the drilled and slotted drilled front discs and solid rears for the uprated 4-wheel brake system with the Wilwood dual line master cylinder, the 17” Eleanor styled 17X7 wheels look great and have great 235/45/17 Firestone Firehawk radials for great handling, has the great Ididit tilt steering column, just installed is the correct Mustang black stock steering wheel from a factory GT, this makes a great interior look,

history/paint: this car was initially built by a Mustang Club member for he and his wife, he constantly kept working on it and went a some local MCA trips, they worked extensively on the upgraded mechanicals as their main effort, then Fraser Dante acquired the car in order to bring it up into another even higher level with our professional shop and the top end paint team, they had wanted the top of the fenders black and Fraser Dante wanted a stock Mustang Shelby look, we then waited for our best paint and body shop to be able to strip the car, sand all the black areas for prep to match the CandyApple Red, then we took off the flat hood and prepared the restored steel hood with the Shelby air scoop that took lots of hand prep, then it was painted to match all over with a great presence (SEE THE LINK FOR THE WORK), then Fraser Dante brought this back to our shop, then our top professional high speed buffer and his crew worked the whole car (SEE LINK), now the presence of this great Mustang is really terrific with a fantastic luster,

engine: presented with the fresh and nicely built very strong 302cid 4v engine that has been upgraded with the lightweight aluminum ‘AFR’ air flow performance hydraulic lifter heads, has also the lightweight roller rockers with street performance camshaft, has the push rod guide plates, an aluminum intake and the 4v Holley ‘quick flow’ carburetor deliver the best combination for street performance driving, uprated electronic ignition, great compression of 150 to 155 lbs across (LINK),Ford Racing valve covers, Ford Racing 9mm performance spark plug wires, has the performance shorty ceramic coated headers that lead to the dual GT exhaust system, this even has an additional front lower valence cooling designed system with the front lower air intake on the front valence that feeds air to cool this package,
