next: further upgrading by Fraser Dante: all the running systems including a fresh restoration on the 3 row radiator for excellent cooling, also now note that this came to Fraser Dante as it was initially factory produced, it had no power steering, it had the correct normal non-power factory single line GT disc brakes as originally produced, note: now included in our current pricing are the two very important items that most of the Fraser Dante customers love…our great Mustang upgrades with the new Borgeson power steering and power GT disc brakes, our listed price includes these upgrades, we use the excellent full Borgeson variable ratio power steering complete system that makes this so easy to drive, this has the Saginaw style smaller and efficient pump, has new pulleys, all lines and hoses, it is far better and very desired way more than the original Ford constant power steering that often leaks (LINK), our normal fair Fraser Dante customer install price is a $2890 costing for this upgrade,

interior: here is presented in proper black interior that has the very nice restored or really perhaps even factory original black bucket seated (26) interior is in really exceptional condition, the seats have great padding, noting that the stitching even appears factory correct, very hard to find like this, Mustang black steering wheel, has 4 safety belts, has proper black door panels and with very nice hardware, black carpeting, fold down rear seat with nice black carpet and the chrome fold-down hinge is so very nice, the black interior dash package has all the factory gauges, also this has the factory console, the windshield is tinted, the rear back glass is the factory Carlite unit,

history: as this was found in an estate of a serious Mustang collector by the serious associate of Fraser Dante, there is only the information that we have now today about the car has shown at Fraser Dante, this was sold and shown as a factory GT 2+2, here is the photo and the breakdown of the original door data tag (SEE LINK), this is an early GT produced and dated on May 13, 1965, also this is an original Wimbledon White color, we must note that so much restoration work was done with the original body, chassis and paint restoration that we cannot confirm or not confirm that this is a factory GT, great effort to explain, this even has the proper GT HCC AX steering box with tab (LINK), this does have new floors and underchassis work completed for a really solid show presentation, (LINK) with the work on the lower factory crush panels, new dual exhaust hangers on the new floors and the other full chassis work to make this solid and fresh and rust free, the last older owner had this GT restored and then showed the 2+2 and kept in his collection, he sold this as a factory GT and we can assume that this is a factory GT from all signs but cannot verify…this has had some much all the new excellent fresh chassis and floor restoration work just completed, it is simply new and fresh with all aspects to be correct are in place today,

Wheels/tires: since this was out of the static collection, the previous owner had used a set of later 14” wheels with older tires as it was seldom used, now just fresh for Fall 2020, Fraser Dante just installed a set of 14×7 chrome Mustang Magnum chrome styled steel wheels, chrome lug nuts, has proper black Mustang center caps, then now we had ordered and had to wait a month for the delivery a set of the brand new very excellent, expensive and hard get today P205/70R-14 B.F. Goodrich Radial TA’S that retail for $630 delivered today, (LINK), then they are mounted and balanced, the B.F.Goodrich Radial T/A tires are perfect for muscle cars and classics that call for a raised white letter sidewall, these 205/70R14s are the perfect size for a muscle car that originally came with bias ply tires with the legendary V-Bloc tread design and S (112 MPH) speed rating, they are built to perform well with great handling along with the DOT and ECE (European Union) approved standards, we figure the retail costings of this wheel/tire setup is today is at least $1750 with all labor, again, hard to get these products today, these look really just great, very period and really make the 2+2 drive great,

Engine information: here is the perfectly working and very strong correct 289cid engine, it is believed very original unit with the correct dated C5AE-6015-E 289cid casting markings on the engine, now this is just highly and correctly show detailed, this very exacting factory production casting and stampings that are proper dated 289cid engine (SEE THE VERY EXACTING LINK) that is hard to find with all of the ‘numbers’, the factory casting of C5AE-6015-E has a block date code of 5.e.13 that is May 13, 1965 that fits the build date via the door data tag of 13S or May 13, 1965 to match and right after the GT’s were in production, the proper 1965 hydraulic lifter heads are just checked and are very clean showing the recent re-build by the previous owner, they have the proper cast and stamped dated ‘289’ ‘65’ heads and engine to match the door data tag (SEE LINK), all of this is as close to ‘matching numbers’ as a Mustang can be as only date codes are available, has the very expensive show quality brand new ‘Cobra’ open polished valve covers just installed (SEE LINK) for a dynamic engine presentation, they are installed with new Fel-Pro gaskets for the valve covers, the heads look very good with the valve covers off as shown, the Mustang intake is cast C5ZF and has the rebuilt Autolite 4100 4v carburetor mounted, said rebuilt carb still has the factory heat tubes for the choke that are hard to find today, has the uprated Pertronix ignition, it is now set for with great performance, this detailed engine bay features the proper show hoses and clamps, one could leave these or go to a brand new more modern new belts and new hoses,

Engine tune upgrades: now also just installed is an expensive new strong DuraLast Gold battery with 750 cold cranking amps for great starting, has the new proper cables (LINK), this car has the full testing by the staff of Fraser Dante is just completed, the terrific engine bay is detailed to MCA driven show presentation, also this has the new proper Autolite 7mm copper core spark plug wires (LINK),

Fresh full tune…oil/filter: the oil and filter are changed and upgraded to protect the engine, Fraser Dante uses very expensive special high-tech racing oil with added zinc content with Valvoline VR1 20-50 to insure long term performance, since today’s gasoline and standard oils have cleaners added, these early non-catalytic engines need the heavy-duty oil for lubrication purposes (LINK), this process is very costly and used only from top operations as Fraser Dante…

Costs for 2020 upward: as a builder and restorer of classic Mustangs, we see that the parts chain supply stream is either cut off or very limited supply, when we get our needed restoration parts, the costings are very much higher than before, the value of the build costing of these quality Mustangs is climbing higher for sure, having been in business for many years, Fraser Dante has a large stock of needed parts for these cars that cover most of our needs, we run a professional shop with full time staff along with expert subs for specifics that have worked with us for years, in short, the values of top quality classic 1965-1966 convertibles and 2+2s Mustangs are strongly climbing,
