Here is an extremely nice 1974 Triumph TR6 Roadster in the very pretty Correct Pimento Red, correct Chestnut interior, this British sports car has a great history of the well-known Baker Motor Car Company from Atlanta where it still resides today,  this very rare 1974 Triumph TR6 Roadster has the actual original Window Sticker (LINK), copy of the Bill of Sale (LINK) and the original Data Tag (LINK), this unmolested body and solid underchassis has had great maintenance and caregiving for many years in Atlanta, this TR6 features the original 2.5 liter, 6 cylinder, all the numbers are shown later in this report, full tune and set up being accomplished by our top British tech, 4-speed transmission without overdrive, the performance of this Atlanta TR6 is really one of the best that Fraser Dante has had, the last owner really wanted to enjoy his carl, this was really a Driven Show car where the car was found, now just arrived at Fraser Dante and is now in our shop to bring to the next higher cosmetic level…a real Atlanta TR6, has the original restored factory wheels with the trim rings, center caps and lug nuts, just fitted are the brand new expensive Michelin tires just installed, very nice exceptional solid underchassis, outstanding body with straight lines, local driven show quality with nice ‘eyes’, tool kit with spare, many original parts and equipment were on the car from new and now updates being done now, after said work, the final buffing and polishing for Fall 2019,

Engine info: here is the correct engine with all the exacting numbers shown (LINK), very strong and detailed engine upon completion, the engine features the excellent 2.5 liter straight 6 cylinder, strong torque lbs with 2.94” bore and 3.74” stroke, just excellent compression, fresh full throttle bushings and excellent linkage connected with new fuel lines to the dual Stromberg Carburetors, numbered 175 CD-2 on both, Stanpart Aluminum intake manifold #V3265, cylinder head #313247, engine block #CF22635UE,  fresh ignition yielding really spirited performance, with dry cold reading compression just taken of 135 to 137 lbs that is within only 2 lbs apart (LINK), this goes in line with the history of the stock 7.5:1 compression with the fresh work just completed by a top British tech, valves adjusted and the timing is set, now that this engine literally just ‘purrs’ and is so smooth, the radiator flushed, full new green show hoses and clamps are being installed, has new spark plug wires, new spark plugs, all stock cooling shields for better cooling, an expensive new battery,

tires/wheels: when Fraser Dante found this car at a show and then received it at our shop, this has stock wheels that had been restored, had the trim rings, center caps and lug nuts, these had older 16 year old tires as this had not been used except for local shows for a while, now very expensive Michelin Defender 185/65/R15 radial blackwall tires are just mounted and balanced (LINK), this looks great and drives wonderful,

top/glass history: since this 1974 TR6 never left the Atlanta area, this still has the factory ‘XXX Triplex laminated’ windshield, really in remarkably good shape but not perfect with a slight bit of end delamination, this writer believes this is more valuable than a replacement unit, very hard to find like this, the car was received with the original Baker Motor Co. black reflector strip top, (LINK),, this full unit is being now replaced by a Moss Motors brand new top with the install,

Summary: Fraser Dante is working to bring this car to a even higher level than received, restoration work is being completed for Fall 2019, a rare find indeed
