Interior: new white power soft top, operation checked, now shown with the brand new blue boot, (LINK), this has a fully done very nice interior now uprated or could have been from the dealer ‘as new’…set forth with the Pony two tone Blue/off white bucket seats, the sides for the interior are done the way that Fraser Dante builds their Mustangs, the blue and white side panels are standard for a much cleaner look, see the many photos taken by Fraser Dante in the recent interior work, you can see the original Ford Silver Blue paint on the lower inside where the window crank area is and is shown with photos, from the examination of the side hard plastic panels and the stitching on the back side of the lower back seat, we believe these are factory made, the front Pony seats have the real stitching that is not available today, (LINK) again, very original and valuable, has the stock nice looking dash and proper blue dash pad, all the proper bezels are good, this presents just great with the factory blue steering wheel, there are 2 brand new blue front safety belts just installed, (LINK), although this had a nice blue carpet when received, it had been outside in the sun for shows, now Fraser Dante just installed a brand new complete blue carpet with the padding, photos show the interior out and the installation (LINK), this effort took many hours to complete so well, see the original red oxide of the factory floors, so solid and hard to find this original, also has special Mustang floor mats, all of this work yields a very nice show look with many professional hours to complete, the chrome door and window handles both inside and outside are so nice,

brakes: this car was found and purchased with the Ford power front drum power brake system, since Fraser Dante knows that everyone loves and wants the GT front disc brakes, a more expensive upgrade is completed as we have now upgraded and newly added the said GT disc brakes, these discs as well as the brand new larger master cylinder for the GT system (LINK), this now works better for stopping and safety, this setup is just even like the factory Shelby used, the rear drums are as new, when all installed, photos will document the complete finished work when completed (LINK), all the brake fluid is added, bled and then checked for a strong pedal, then road tested, this expensive work is the Fraser Dante quality…just really terrific brakes,

Wheels/tires/suspension: the wheels are great expensive proper 1966 styled steel wheels with the trim rings, center caps and lug nuts, then the new Hankook 205/75/14 radial narrow band whitewalls are installed to make this look good and handle very well, great look and great driving,

Next, the professional effort to make this car drive so very well, note that  4 brand new Monroe shocks are just installed by Fraser Dante to insure that they will enhance the driving experience, they are very good heavy duty Monroe units that are very desirable (LINK), the very good springs gives a very good attitude to the car, to insure the final settings on the suspension, the final professional alignment will be completed with specs supplied (LINK), lots of effort for great driving,

Engine: here is a most important items as for sure this is a rebuilt, very strong proper engine that is set for top driven show, presenting as factory stock, so very nicely presented from the blue block to all engine bay detailing, this includes all the bolts around the engine bay and radiator support, it is so very clean, this has the proper casting for the 289cid engine of the 1966 C6AE-6015-E cast date with date code of 7.g.5 or July 5, 1967, thusly a 1967 289 but correct as the original engine would be, this proves the engine work has been done, all of the Mustang 289s from 1965-66-67 were the same engines with just a different date code, this engine is in outstanding condition, the heads are stamped ‘66’ meaning they were cast in 1966, the heads are dated March 1967 or for a 1967 Mustang (SEE THE LINK FOR THE SPECIFIC NUMBERS), has the Ford period dated intake, the carburetor is a Holley restored #1232 unit with 600 cfm electric choke unit, see the attached sheet of the very outstanding specific engine compression details showing 150 to 159 lbs in a dry cold reading just taken (LINK), this ready is better than factory stock, all this engine proves this is a great rebuilt full engine, photos close up of engine (LINK), photos with valve covers off (LINK),

With this strong even compression, it goes very well for the factory ration of 225 horsepower, this hydraulic lifter engine is just great for the street, unless one is under the engine and under the starter, one then can find the numbers we are supplying, this has the proper ‘A’ Code exhaust manifolds that lead to the GT full exhaust system,

now also just installed is an expensive new strong DuraLast Gold battery with 750 cold cranking amps for great starring, has the new proper cables (LINK), this car has the full testing by the staff of Fraser Dante is just completed, the engine bay is detailed to MCA driven show presentation, note the Cobra valve covers and the proper air cleaner with the hi-po orange air filter, the full tune completed is with new show Ford C5OZ spark plug wires, new Autolite copper core ‘45’ spark plugs (SEE LINK), the timing and valves are professionally set,

Fresh full tune…oil/filter: the oil and filter are changed and upgraded to protect the engine, Fraser Dante uses very expensive special high-tech racing oil with added zinc content with Valvoline VR1 20-50 to insure long term performance, since today’s gasoline and standard oils have cleaners added, these early non-catalytic engines need the heavy duty oil for lubrication purposes (LINK), this process is very costly and used only from top operations as Fraser Dante…

body/underchassis: a very high point of this top classic Mustang a truly exceptional body and great floors has all original body panels, proper metal under hood, has the original ‘tack’ and Ford factory ‘pinch’ welds for the lower valences, has the very clear Ford stampings on the rocker moldings (LINK), the original radiator support is still there showing no evidence of any accidents that can be detected, very nice, the lower part of the rear quarters have been expertly repaired as this is a common area affected by the inside of the trunk that people do not keep clean, now these side are top notch, this also has the very important Ford proper VIN #s on both front inner fenders, this sheet metal is really top quality, the paint is prepared to really great luster, a Driven Show car that is a 9/10…just the condition that most people want…nice enough to show or drive but not a trailered concours paint today…close-up photos (LINK), show the nice condition, there are even great very close-ups of the very nice door jambs (LINK), a real find in this terrific and  striking presentation,

underchassis: here is an area that has just now had many hours spent in the great presentation of this very great chassis that shows the top condition, when Fraser Dante put this on our lift to check the most solid and original underchassis, we found that this had a very light coat of black undercoating that had been applied many years ago to protect from any damage…now after great hand efforts…this Silver Blue Mustang has the photos of the wonderful original red oxide floors that are so very solid when with very slight undercoating of a few years ago was taken off by the Fraser Dante experts (LINK), after taking the floors by hand now to the metal after the final steel wool hand rubbed chassis, then a double coat of red oxide is applied, the first coat is a strong professional primer by Rust-Oleum that is formulated to protect metal, then another cost of proper color Red Oxide is completed for full coverage, now thusly just detailed for mirrored presentation as a driven show car, floors and underchassis like this are hard to find (LINK), this effort is completed in June 2019 to yield a great Mustang,

Note that this has great Ford glass, all 6 of the side windows are the original factory Ford glass, Carlite side windows…hard to find such glass, the only change is the windshield that is a new tinted glass unit, this new windshield has the excellent seals, note that this shows it was a factory tinted windshield with the very RARE ‘Buck Tag’, also has the original door Data Tag, the trunk is nicely done, just detailed for show, (LINK), has a spare tire, jack, full correct plaid trunk mat, the inside quarters of the trunk are properly presented,

Summary:  here is a gorgeous and rare Mustang convertible, a loved factory color with tags on the car to confirm ‘as built’, great effort just completed to make a top quality driven show car, the desirable and expensive working air conditioning is uprated to 134a, with the new GT disc brakes and full check of the rear drums, this now stops just great!!
