1966 Mustang GT ‘A’ Code Convertible finished both mechanically and cosmetically as a top driven show car in all aspects with a terrific presentation and great underchassis,  just a beautiful correct Candyapple red color with great beautiful luster, full black factory Pony interior, expensive working Rally Pac, strong correct 289cid engine with new Edelbrock Performer intake, new Edelbrock #1404 500cfm 4v carburetor, here is a proper 'A' code engine with hydraulic lifters, (LINK) has the factory blue air induction system and valve covers for show, factory rated at 225 horsepower with the dual exhaust system, flushed radiator system, full fresh professional tune along with oil and filter, long Southern history from North Georgia, just terrific show detailed red underchassis, then the Fraser Dante recent restoration work completed, now well presented in a just a very nice straight body and very pretty Red contrasted with full GT white striping, beautiful original color, White power top, black boot, working GT front lights, working back up lights, rear valence with dual exhaust proper chrome tips, new suspension parts, has the proper side inner panels for the full Black Pony interior with black safety belts, factory long console, a rare believed original restored factory wood steering wheel, desirable 1966 styled steel wheels with trim rings and chrome lug nuts, has the radial whitewall tires, brand new alignment and road check done, the fresh front GT disc and rear drum braking system update just completed at Fraser Dante, the attached document how correct this fine factory GT is, promotional material,

 

History: this very pretty Mustang was kept as a serious collector car for many years in North Georgia, this information was given to Fraser Dante by two very serious Mustang and Ford collectors and restorers who are good friends of this writer, now moving from the status sitting collection type car to now improving for Summer 2019 with the car's operation for driven show, the Data Tag shows this to be an original Atlanta DSO of 21, (SEE LINK), it is a well-known factory GT maintained with great care and attention, now all of the GT aspects are checked and verified…the rear frame crush panels, radiator support, wiring loom, the lower dual exhaust hangers, note that this also has the fully show detailed underchassis with the final work just completed, also, the great restoration work has the expensive new show quality ‘Carlite’ tinted front windshield installed, this GT presents with great ‘eyes’, see the copies of the original Ford Mustang brochures and promotional material that are included in this package, these can be used for show purposes and the history of this build, (LINK),

Engine/mechanicals:  this is a correct 289 cid/4v Mustang engine, the initial published specs of this famous 289cid with the bore of 4.00” and a short stroke of 2.57” are for 225 horsepower @ 4400 rpm along with the strong 305 lbs of torque at 3200 rpm, this free reviving engine is a great engineering piece, now this is highly show stock detailed, excellent very even dry cold reading compression from 132 psi to 139 psi across, (LINK), has a new Edelbrock #1404 500cfm manual choke carburetor with the Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold #2121, both just fitted and checked, engine set up with MCA show as factory blue air intake system and valve covers, these wonderful 289cid small blocks are fitted with hydraulic lifter heads that yield high torque and have easy maintenance,

the new tune up includes the new points for the checked distributor, a new condenser, new spark plugs, good spark plug wires, then the Fraser Dante special hi tech VR1 20-50 oil with zinc is added with new oil filter, (SEE LINK),
