HISTORY OF THE 1960 AUSTIN HEALEY MK1 3000 BT7

The first 'big' Healey was the 100 shown at the Earls Court shown in 1952 and then first produced at the 100/6 with bodies built with Jensen of West Bromwich with final assembly at the MG factory at Abington, Oxfordshire, built with a solid chassis, cam and peg steering, solid rear axle, and equipped with front discs, this has really a full, famous restoration a few years ago and then kept in very safe hands, see the note from the second owner who sold this to Kurt Tanner (LINK) for his famous restoration…now updated and ready for Spring 2019 shows,

transmission/engine:  this has the correct 4-speed transmission with working overdrive, also the matching numbers (SEE LINK) of the proper and rebuilt 2912cc or 177.7cid, 3.125” bore with 3.50” long stroke giving 124 horsepower and a strong 150 lbs of torque, solid lifters that work great, rebuilt dual HD6 SU's, correct air cleaners, fresh Champion N12YC spark plugs just installed, this engine really full new oil and filter, it just purrs, the brake and head lights work, this is a very sound and fine driving car, the great idea of Austin Healey’s is that parts are easy to find as Moss Motors has everything one could find along with other suppliers, this car has really great 'eyes' and very classy look, these cars are hard to find,  mechanicals just checked by our British mechanic (LINK),
