1966 Shelby GT350 Clone, a very, very rare production…this is an excellent factory ‘K’ Code built from the San Jose plant ‘R’ production and a real factory GT, an original data tag shows as a beautiful correct Wimbledon White with the black standard interior, just the exact cars that Shelby used for his California production…hard to find such a great body and history!!! A simply fantastic body and paint along with a superior underchassis, very strong custom built 302++cid with full balancing, full Edelbrock aluminum top end, Hi-Po manifolds that lead to the aluminized Shelby dual exhaust system, will show as detailed factory stock in the engine bay when finished, 325++ horsepower, 5-speed transmission, NASCAR quality 9” positraction rear end, 3.50:1 3” tube rear end, lower traction bars, working period tach, new alloy Shelby 15x7 wheels, new radials, great solid correct red oxide underchassis, simply the finest Shelby uprated clone built from a very rare car…this car will outperform the stock 1966 Shelby GT 350 yet will look very factory, all the sheet metal appears to be ‘as factory’ and the underchassis is so very solid and prepared for driven show, (LINK), the best 2+2 and the rarest that Fraser Dante has every built,

BODY: just a gorgeous Shelby Wimbledon White with the full length Shelby blue stripes, here is a very rare and wonderful 2+2 with original, stamped fender aprons and core supports, original, detailed floors, original quarter panels with only a lower patch panel in the right hand quarter, fiberglass with steel reinforced Shelby hood with hood pins, Shelby Lexan quarter glass, R-Code fiberglass front bumper, still has the Carlite glass in front, rear and side glass…see the Original Factory Data Tag, a very rare piece that is really an investment grade car (LINK),  

ENGINE: the engineering and design of the engine has been set forth by the professionals at Fraser Dante, this is built to look stock Shelby under the hood, a strong 302cid+++ block was chosen by Fraser Dante for the complete build, (LINK) the goal is to look like a driven show car under the hood but yield strong and reliable performance, the power is better than a 1965 Shelby that was rated at 306 horsepower with solid lifters that needed to be adjusted on the iron heads, now we plan this to be 325++ horsepower and 345 ft/lbs of torque, with the aluminum performance hydraulic lifter heads plus the aluminum intake, the front end will also be lighter and cool the engine better,

the 302cid engine has received excellent machine shop work, it was vated, bored to +.40 with the freshly built 302++cid, fitted with the uprated ‘hypereutectic’ pistons for performance and weight, fully balanced assembly, Plastigage photos (LINK), full Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and full system, heads are fitted with the Performance Camshaft, Edelbrock 4V new carburetor just available, electronic ignition, Tri-Y headers, flex fan with fan shroud, Autolite battery, HD show cables, expensive finned aluminum Cobra valve covers, has the deep sump Cobra finned oil pan, under the hood, this is prepared to look like a 1965/1966 Shelby, for chassis strength, it features the one-piece export brace plus the Monte Carlo bar, like a very period piece,  

INTERIOR: has the proper Shelby black standard interior…Tri-spoke wood Moto-Lita Shelby steering wheel, proper Shelby dash mounted working tachometer, black standard vinyl interior and door panels, fold down rear seat, emergency flasher system located in glove box, Shelby GT350 floor mats, front safety belts

BRAKES/SUSPENSION: special rear end…all the K’ Code Mustangs and Shelby’s came from Ford with a 9” rear end…the original tubes were 3” tapering to 2 ½”…here great effort is expended to make the handing and stopping the breaking aspect to be better than the original 1965-6 Shelby’s, this very expensive set up is coordinated with our own shop and our NASCAR builder supplier, then special brackets are made by a Fraser Dante steel contractor for the brackets to hold the full 3” power coated shafts, this is now held in place by the full ‘U’ bolts needed for the full shaft…this is improved over stock with the full Motive clear cut 3.50:1 positraction gears…

The top, top braking system is the very desirable dual line 4-wheel disc brakes just installed, these are new uprated Wilwood slotted 4 wheel disc red brake system, we have used these expensive slotted and drilled rotors along that has the full units all new with the brakes redone, for handling,new KYB heavy duty shocks installed, brand new strong springs, full alignment, a strong lowered Shelby suspension with fresh springs, has the Shelby Heavy Duty front sway bar, also a under hood Monte Carlo bar just as the GT 350s had, the Shelby type alloy wheels with performance black wall radial tires,

WHEELS/TIRES: new alloy 5 spoke Shelby 15x7 alloy lightweight special wheels with new BF Goodrich 225/60/15 Radial TA tires, (LINK), or we could use the appropriate 14” 10 spoke alloys with the Radial TA’s for a second choice,  

Summary: A fully prepared for Fraser Dante and just fantastic Shelby clone that is made from the very correct and very rare San Jose ‘R’ production and very correct ‘K’ chassis built as a GT from the factory and exactly like all real Shelby’s came from…(LINK), when fully completed, a fresh 9” chuck with 3” tubes positraction rear end with 3.50:1 gears just built, this will really perform better than the original Shelby while maintaining all the appearance as factory, a joy to own at $100,000
