1967 Mustang convertible just a wonderful fully restored as a mild ‘resto’ build that is really just gorgeous with the stock sheet metal presented with the show quality Candyapple Red color…has just a wonderful presentation with engine and performance upgrades, it is prepared for really top Driven Show appearance along with excellent street performance in mind…stands so tall with the great exterior cosmetic appearance from the great body and metal with rare original quarters, note that the base coat, clear coat paint with the terrific luster, very, very top mechanicals that is restored to top driven street performance with a fully prepared 302cid Windsor engine, excellent compression, has the Holley 4v carburetor and dual exhaust system, show detailed under the hood, a 3-speed C-4 automatic transmission, has the working air conditioning system, great uprated rack and pinion front end steering for great handling, adjustable coil-overs, a great expensive Wilwood 4 wheel disc brake system, fresh excellent pads, the full uprated suspension that makes this drive just wonderful, the 8” rear axle is rebuilt with fresh seals, has the low profile radials mounted on the 18” Cobra alloy wheels, lowered stance for handling and appearance, see the note from the previous owner about the build (LINK), here is just what the type of car that they were selling for BIG NUMBERS at both Mecum and Barrett-Jackson in January 2019…a stock bodied, gorgeous resto cars are what everyone loves! 

BODY: just a fantastic body with the believed original rear quarters, original under hood inner fenders with clear VIN# stampings, has the Ford stamped fenders, strong and original radiator support, hood seems the factory original, on the lower side of the car, the bottom rocker panels are factory stamped, the doors are good Ford units, the trunk unit is in the same condition, checking the underchassis, all the metal is very solid and detailed, 3 of the floors are original and only one driver’s footwell has been nicely replaced for show condition, the red oxide is nicely done, note that the CandyApple Red color is presented with amazing luster, all weather stripping, one car see that has a just really laser straight body, lots of professional work to prepare the metal for painting was accomplished, has the hood turn signals, new bumpers, new body emblems, great lower rocker moldings, has a power top with a new rear window, front tinted glass, 

LIGHTING: upgraded great expensive system with expensive new LED sequential rear tail lights with new tail light bezels, also has the great front upgraded LED head lights for better lighting should you drive this on a summer night,

INTERIOR: a fully new restored and better than new restored bucket seated interior, new wood factory steering wheel, new carpet with custom floor mats, Custom remote stereo system with kick panel speakers, new instrument bezel, custom console, new window handles, new Classic vintage Auto air condition with factory controls that has just been checked to work well,

ENGINE: has a built 302cid Windsor strong unit, the numbers show as a C8AE-6015-B is a 302 block from the Windsor plant that was used in 1968 on a 289…see sheet for specs (LINK), this is a strong block that has a stock look but a better stronger block than the original 289…same as used for the top Mustang 1966 Shelby GT 350 clone that Fraser Dante built and sold to our most serious car customer, one can tell how good the rebuild is with the hydraulic lifter heads, great even compression of 135-143 lbs per cylinder, very solid sound, 
with a slight upgraded cam, this has a very nice rumble sound, has the 4v Holley uprated carburetor, ceramic coated headers, uprated Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, new front custom serpentine pulley system, a full tune just completed with new show Ford C5OZ spark plug wires, new Autolite copper core ‘45’ spark plugs (LINK), the complete timing is set, excellent street compression with the strong dry reading compression from 135psi to 143psi across (LINK), the engine bay is highly detailed with the final work in March 2019, has the MCA approved Cobra show kit, the final professional engine detail work with just completed in March 2019,

the great transmission is the 3-speed C-4 automatic, to make sure this drives well and no vibration, the driveshaft is completed restored with receipt of said work that is a retail costing of $530 (LINK),

Racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection (LINK), said oil gives the proper zinc for the lubrication of the engine, note this step is using the top racing quality oil that can only be used on engines without a catalytic converter,

BRAKING/SUSPENSION: here is another really great improvement to the build and handling of this terrific Mustang Convertible that has the new hard to build with the rack and pinion steering system, this is very desired and expensive to install, has also the new 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with drilled rotors, (LINK), 8” rear axle with new 4 link rear suspension, another upgrade is the new QA-1 A adjustable coil over shock system, the rear end is a 4-link unit that makes this 1967 resto convertible handle so well,

UNDERCHASSIS: Here are the really great solid floors of this great rare 1967 Mustang Convertible that really add to the value, only a driver’s side footwell was replaced, they were protected with light undercoating when purchased by Fraser Dante, then the soft black coating was taken off by hand now showing the original red oxide, (LINK), this was cleaned and then fresh red oxide applied, then cleared, the final and really amazing condition prepared for show presentation in Spring 2019,

WHEELS: just a great appearance with the beautiful new Cobra alloy ‘knock-off’ wheels, the new radial tires are rears 225/40/18, the front 255/40/18 (LINK), the look with the these wheels and tires is great and said package make this handle far better than new,

SUMMARY: a top ‘resto’ 1967 Mustang convertible that is built to enjoy and use for Drive Show, we are told by the seller who is well known to Fraser Dante that that the initial owner builder had his total work in the car for $60,000+, this came from Sarasota and then the said owner retired to his yacht, he sold the car to a dealer friend of this writer, Fraser Dante bought the car…now just out of the final Fraser Dante restoration shop to finish the build and ready for Summer 2019, Owner’s Manual (LINK), this is the perfect car for a show or a terrific car to drive with the uprated suspension, now offered at only $48,950
