1962 Dodge Polara 500 convertible presented as a great driven show presentation, here is a very high design and famous presentation of the front verticle fluted waterfall grill, this has a very striking red exterior with the factory side white painted insert areas that accent the factory design that yields a side wing effect that is very excitiing, very few of these cars remain today, the red/white bucket seated interior is as factory, lower and upper console, new white power top, highly show detailed under the hood just completed, this is equipped with a strong 383cid High Performance just built engine, 4v carburetor, dual aluminized exhaust, very strong compression, electronic ignition, the engine has under 2000 miles, a new automatic transmission build, working Vintage Air Conditioning, aluminum radiator, uprated Borgeson Power Steering, Power vented front disc brakes, all fresh brakes around, stainless steel brake lines, new powder coated front suspension, this has lots of records of  maintenance documents of over $12,200 after it came to Atlanta, then the final work on top of that is completed by Fraser Dante for Fall 2017, a very solid underchassis just painted and cleared, has a set American Racing alloy wheels with B.F. Goodrich radial TA’s in the 235/60/15 around, this also has the very rare and hard to find original hubcaps (SEE LINK) that can be mounted on 14” steel wheels,  the dash is really an automtive work of art,

Engine:  this came as a 318cid car and now uprated with a very strong 383cid High Performance unit, this engine is a very fresh build with under 2000 miles, has a 4v is a Carter AFB,  excellent build with very even compression with a dry cold reading of 141 to 145 lbs across, see the (LINK), then all of the numbers on the engine are listed so one can see about the build (LINK),  these show what is here today,

running condition: note the new fuel tank for clean gas with the recent photos, the car has fresh spark plugs, all of the systems are just checked in the car for Fall 2017,

oil/filter:  the oil and filter are now changed and upgraded to protect the engine, Fraser Dante uses very expensive special high-techracing oil with added zinc content with Valvoline VR1 20-50 to insure long term performance, since today’s gasoline and standard oils have cleaners added, these early non-catalytic engines need the heavy duty oil and the added zinc for lubrication purposes (LINK) for these older engines, this is very costly and used only from shops who have top operations as Fraser Dante,

underchassis/brakes:  note the photos that show the very find underchassis that is most solid, just repainted black and then cleared for protection and show (LINK),  the brakes have all new hardware and just serviced, this has the front vented discs and the rear drums, photos document their condition today, (LINK),

Summary:  here is presented for Fall 2017 is a very rare 1962 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible in restored condition, just cool presentation, just perfect for an appearance at a great restaurant for a wonderful presentation and great mechanicals, offered at only $58,950
