1954 Jaguar XK 120 Convertible, full frame off restoration, the body was remounted to frame and shimmed for proper door alignment so the presentation is better than factory when new, this came from the Atlanta owner since 1975,  car was received in original unrestored condition, disassembled entire car-full body off frame construction by an aircraft Delta certified mechanic and pilot instructor, impeccable credentials, a special built a jig to replicate body mounts on frame. mounted body on jig and sent it out to be soda blasted, sand blasted frame-checked for alignment and refinished, after blasting , structural body repairs were completed to factory standards, then body was then sent to the paint shop and finished in the factory correct Carmen Red, just an amazing base coast/clear coat paint that is better than new, Concours quality all frame subassemblies were disassembled, blasted and refinished, then rebuilt using new bushings and correct parts as well as new suspension springs front and rear,
The original 3.4 liter dual overheard cam 6 cylinder engine had a fresh rebuild by a Jaguar mechanic just before this final work was one,  I performed a compression check, opened the bottom end for a visual inspection and reassembled with new seals and gaskets, the entire fuel system was rebuilt to factory standards, with 180 horsepower at 5300 rpm and the strong torque of 203 ft/lbs, this engine is strong and just runs like a watch, this is assembled in the car that is  automotive art, Restoration Photos (LINK), Jaguar Heritage Trust (LINK), for proper cooling, the radiator was restored and reworked, new water pump, hoses and thermostat installed with fluids,  all the valves are set and the timing with the final testing,

the transmission was also rebuilt,  the shift linkage restored, then the  rear end was cleaned, inspected, refinished and reassembled with new seals and gaskets,  the brakes were completely rebuilt using new master cylinder and all wheel cylinders, new brake lines, new shoes and hardware, then fluids flushed and road tested,

In the assembly completed very late Fall 2017, the engine and transmission were placed in the chassis using all the proper hardware,  then new factory correct wiring full harness installed,  this works with all the gauges and electrical components that have now been restored to factory standards.

In order for this to drive perfectly, all the suspension components were reinstalled to the frame using correct hardware, the fitting checked,  new correct very expensive 16 inch Dayton Wire Wheels were installed on new splined hubs, then fitted with the correct bias ply firestone tires, then the car was aligned and road tested,
All the exterior chrome parts were replated to show quality and reinstalled,. the leather biscuit interior kit was obtained from XK'sUnlimited using very correct materials, the seat covers were reinstalled on rebuilt seat frames with new foam, the hard to build and stitch with the matching correct top installed on refinished frame, correct boot mat and boot,  lid liner and trimming installed hard to find are the reconditioned side curtains to match top.

Summary: a 30 days period of road testing and subsequent adjustments made after the final assembly in order to prepare for sale at Fraser Dante, the builder and owner stand ready to support these statements, offered at
