According to the information supplied with said Atlanta owner since 1975, this has the original 3.4 liter dual overhead cam 6 cylinder engine had a fresh rebuild by a Jaguar mechanic just before this final work was one, this was to make a top quality rare famous Jaguar overhead cam engine that was very advanced for the era and also just an automotive work of art, according to the information provided by said builder, he performed a full compression check, opened up the bottom end for a visual inspection and reassembled with new seals and gaskets, the carburetors were rebuilt and tuned, the entire fuel system was rebuilt to factory standards, he reported that this was built to the standards of the factory rating of 180 horsepower at 5300 rpm and it has the strong torque of 203 ft/lbs, this is assembled in the car for the proper cooling, the radiator was restored and reworked, new water pump, new hoses and thermostat installed with fluids, then all the valves were set and the timing set with the final testing, this engine is very strong and just runs like a watch,

the transmission was also rebuilt,  the shift linkage restored with a new washer gasket and nut to secure in Spring 2019, then initially the  rear end was cleaned, inspected, refinished and reassembled with new seals and gaskets,  the brakes were completely rebuilt using new master cylinder and all new wheel cylinders, new brake lines, new shoes and hardware, then fluids flushed and road tested,

In the final assembly being completed very late Fall 2017, the engine and transmission were placed in the chassis using all the proper hardware,  then new factory correct wiring full harness installed,  this works with all the gauges and electrical components that have now been restored to factory standards, then the final testing was done in Spring 2019,

In order for this to drive perfectly, all the suspension components were reinstalled to the frame using correct the hardware, the fitting checked,  new correct very expensive 16 inch Dayton Wire Wheels were installed on new splined hubs, then fitted with the correct bias ply firestone tires, then the car was aligned and road tested, also, items like a updated battery box is installed behind the driver’s seat along with at cutoff, this is a great improvement on the original battery setup that is hard to turn off when the car is not in use,

All the exterior chrome parts were re-plated to beautiful show quality and then reinstalled, the fantastic and gorgeous leather biscuit interior kit was obtained from the well known XK's Unlimited using very correct factory materials, even the exacting work includes the seat covers were reinstalled on rebuilt seat frames with new foam, the hard to build and hand stitch with the matching correct top installed on refinished frame, correct boot mat and boot, lid liner and trimming installed hard to find are the reconditioned side curtains to match top, the presence of this gorgeous car is really great!
