1979 MGB Convertible that is in absolutely beautiful condition and is truly an investment collector piece, beautiful original Vermillion Red color that looks just great for showing, equipped with proper MGB side stainless, luggage rack, has rare original miles of 11,100 out of Atlanta, so rare to find such an untouched from factory MGB, has the full roll up original windows, the paint and body are just terrific with a full show presentation just completed, the luggage rack sets this convertible off so well, the 4 cylinder 1798cc original engine is as new, runs so smoothly, fresh tune just completed by top British tech, see (LINK FOR SPECS), has all the pollution and fuel pump, proper stock Zenith Stromberg type 175 carburetor and original air cleaner system, all of this adds to the value and makes this engine work as it should, has the new radial tires replaced from the original tires that were on the car when Fraser Dante found this rare piece, the black full original interior is outstanding, the gauges work on the dash, has new uprated radio system that was just installed, this is so good it is like a ‘time warp’, has items like the Original Factory Driver’s Handbook (LINK),

Engine/transmission: a gasoline engine with displacement: 1799 cc/ 109.8 cid with advertised power of 62 horsepower, strong torque 88 lb-ft that ‘pulls’ very strong for easy road use, the 8.0:1 compression engine is fitted with an oil sump that holds 6 pints of oil plus 1.25 with the filter yielding 7.25 quarts, lots of factory lubrication, all fresh oil and filter installed, has new spark plugs, the relatively small fuel tank of 13 US gallons for weight makes this 2416 pound car a blast to drive with a good cruising range, has the rare stock pollution system still intact, proper Lucas ignition, fresh tuning just completed, the engine bay is extremely clean as was produced from the factory with nice fresh detailing,

the five stock 5Jx14 optional alloy wheels are in place, new correct 175/70Rx14 black wall radial tires installed with 2000 miles, has an original type tire for the spare, the trunk is like it left the factory,

interior:  here again the facia of the dash and all the factory gauges are as new in condition and they work, they are detailed, a very nice upgrade installed by the Fraser Dante customer is the Polk Audio DB691 dual speaker system is just installed, the speakers nicely fit on the package shelf with sound facing forward, the seats and door panels are like a well-cared for low mileage car, nice…

Additional note: this car is so original that if this was in a accident, there would be diminished value since a car is only new once, the only paint work that was done is when Fraser Dante got the car from the first owner with 7900 miles, when he installed the rear luggage rack, the trunk lid was repainted and is off maybe 5%...did not even see this when first in our showroom, no other paint nor body work is done on these these are the original wheels, the chassis is just a factory produced, this is for sure a rare car, bought from and maintained by Fraser Dante with our detail team and our senior British mechanic,

Summary: nice new black correct top, the dash is as new, nothing to be done, has both the boot and the tonneau cover, the jack, this car with the 4-speed transmission is a blast to drive, all the original bumpers are in place, the optional luggage rack makes this a great joy to the eyes, the final work with fresh spark plugs, oil and filter and road testing is completed for that Fall 2017 for a lovely day in the mountains, truly a time warp, $14,950
