Engine:  the original famous HO ‘WS’ 400cid engine is still in this car (SEE THE LINK) with all the dates and numbers, really a valuable investment asset with this great car, in 1967 the cylinder head design was improved with the valve angle was reduced from 17 degrees to 14 degrees for better breathing, the 1967 as the last year for closed-chambered heads with the "670" head being a 1967-only casting, these open-chambered hydraulic
lifter heads improved the power with engine breathing and reduced
emissions, the valve size increased to 2.11" intake and 1.77" exhaust valves on high-performance heads, factory compression is 10.75:1 this High Output engine produced the most power for that year at 360 horsepower at 5100 rpm and produced a massive 438 ft/lb of torque at only 3600 rpm,

this is the proper and date coded ‘WS’ engine as shown in the PHS, has the very strong compression that has the dry cold readings just taken are at 146 to 152 lbs across (SEE LINK), this will get higher if driven more since this had only had 165 miles in the last 12 years, new spark plugs just installed, attention to detail has the show Packard suppression spark plug wires stamped 3d quarter 1966, these are show quality correct spark plug wires, correct chrome show air cleaner with new air filter,

Note that this was received from the Pontiac collector with said engine in more or less original condition, photos now show the engine being cleaned and nicely detailed in the Fraser Dante shop, both in our ‘photo’ section and via a (LINK), the original chrome valve covers come with the car, now brand new show valve covers are added with brand new valve cover gaskets, (LINK), see this note of the quality being used by Fraser Dante…”value covers chrome without drippers-PR factory valve cover plugs, 100% correct for Concours restoration, has GM#9774900 and FK66 on the backside…also has the ‘bulls eye on center that only GM had, correct oil twist on breather”,

racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection (LINK), note this step is the top racing quality oil that can only engines without a catalytic converter, very few dealers go to this extent in the prep of car protection, none of the warehouse operations have such expertise and attention to detail,

Confirming proper dates:  See the very important (LINKS) for all the info, note that the block, intake, heads and even the rear axle that is among all 1967 date coded (SEE LINK), even the factory HO proper exhaust manifolds are numbered correctly, these lead to an aluminized ‘H’ pipe exhaust system, ‘Flow Pro’ mufflers, has a great rumble to the dual exhaust system, really, this engine works exceptionally well in the final road testing, to insure good running and operation, a brand new Delco 12 volt battery is installed, new cables, original data plate (LINK),

History: very few documented 1967 GTO High Output Convertibles were made have the factory original engine with all numbers, the 1967 GTO is one of the TOP COLLECTOR CARS in the market, very desirable, this is really a wonderful car, sides extremely straight, nice paint in gorgeous factory Tyrol colored blue excellent chrome with all trim and bumpers, nice background with full PHS documentation and the recent check to confirm said numbers of the engine and drivetrain appear as factory, the very nice underchassis is very solid with very good frame and floors, really like a slightly driven car, is better ‘in person’ than photos can show, (LINK), photos of detail ongoing (LINK),

the file contains confirmation that we have all the original Pontiac factory stuff from David McDavid in Texas, three owner car, hard to find with just 165 miles the last 12 years,

since this sat for a while with little use, the underchassis is still very original and unmolested, nice solid frame, it was in driver but very solid condition upon receipt that actually protected all metal and parts, we have just cleaned said chassis with many hours with our staff, then some minor painting, then we use WD40 to protect, then we photo said condition, it is better in person than the photos will show, no signs of any wreck or damage, extremely solid, (LINK),

radiator: a very expensive addition to the restoration is the restoration of the original radiator, this had been sitting for a while, then was flushed and checked, this has the proper Harrison 4 row heavy duty radiator for air conditioned cars, we feel as it is important for the authenticity, after taking out and checking, we sent to Sims to give us their views, then we had the cooling fin area restored and upgraded for better cooling, we saved the top and bottom original Harrison tanks in the build, radiator fan shroud, then we put proper new show ribbed hoses throughout the system and used show clamps, then fresh coolant, this is a $750 process to complete, photos document the work to confirm (LINK),

body:  the body panels are straight, very nice and all believed original, no signs of any replacement quarters,  carefully checked in the inner trunk area, no rust, the Tyrol Blue paint has nice luster, there were but two minor nicks when received and these have been touched up by a restoration expert, very hard to find today after this professional work is accomplished, the very nice lower stainless original rockers are in top shape, the chrome bumpers front and rear are also believed to have had a restoration when this was in Texas, very nice and just polished and really present well, the bumpers are rechromed, the side stainless is polished, all ready to a driven show,

interior:  the black bucket seated interior is very unusual as a head rest car, see the (LINK) of these units that were kept in storage and now just re-installed, very nice condition, appears to be the original material, has four GM Pontiac safety belts, the dash has working instruments, expensive GTO plastic wood steering wheel worth some $1200 today, (LINK), detailed trunk with proper splatter, correct full spare, cover and jack, wonderful original black bucket seated interior, the seats look virtually new, left outside adjustable mirror, day/night rear view mirror, the black appointments throughout along with the interior is terrific, virtually new and factory correct, new black carpets, four floor mats, has the nice wood dash and wood grained console,

Trunk/spare: note the very solid trunk, no signs of any replacement panels, had an older sealant when received and now this trunk has just been fully stripped, sanded then primed to protect, then finally painted with two coats the factory correct black/turq trunk splatter, this material is specially ordered by Fraser Dante, note that the trunk also includes the proper full sized spare, trunk cover, it is the Rally 1 with red line, (LINK),
