history: here is a great vehicle that is part of American culture, one of the most popular collector vehicles of the Millennium, the design from Chevrolet's Advance Design light division started in 1947 and ended with the First Series 1955 truck, has the full correct chrome optional equipment that sets this off as a wonderful show vehicle, chrome front bumper along with the rare front chrome grill looks impressive, chrome rear bumper, dual black side mirrors, chrome trim rings, hub caps, extensive care was taken with this body work and the magnet sticks virtually everywhere, it is important to have full steel trucks for the value to hold, many pieces are not even remanufactured today, very straight body lines and superior to effect the value of these truck, note the painted red pin striping around the cab is done for a great look, correct deep red naugahyde factory interior is fully done, the factory correct bench seat, the proper door panels are a factory correct combination of perforated cardboard finish panel with the remainder steel inner door skin, the full headliner is factory correct as well and finished as the door panels, all c chrome door handles inside and out are new, the running boards completely redone with correct black, working horn, full correct factory gauges and bezels working, hard to find these gauges in this condition, the speedometer works, has a glove box, show quality wood bed just redone with many layers of fresh paint and varnish,

engine:  the engine compartment is highly detailed, fresh correct 216cid overhead valve engine, hard to find these early engines today and this adds great value to this truck, the engine was part of the restoration a very few years ago, all the pistons, rings, valves, crank were done from all the information received, very smooth, optional important oil filter, one barrel carburetor with correct oil bath air filter, this carberator is a Carter factory for the 216 engine, has block cashing #3835849 with stamping #LBA191691 and intake #3835527all fresh show spark plugs, note the proper and expensive show wires, the belts and hoses are new, also has the stock exhaust manifold that is part of the package, full exhaust system, all the stock wiring is new,

the 3.55:1 rear end that is installed so this can be driven well is just lubed, the 3 speed transmission on the column works as it should with rebuilt linkage, under the hood all hoses and belts are new and factory correct with proper clamps, note that the Fraser Dante Senior GM tech is an expert on these early models and he has this working just great,

Summary:  has the hard to find the sidemount spare tire carrier system that is most desirable, the full braking system has been just been redone and checked, this is important for a show truck that you can drive safely, most people do not even check the braking as Fraser Dante does, photo documentation will show their condition, with the 16” rare wheels including the side mount of the body colored wheels, the chrome trim rings, the chrome hubcaps and 6.50x16 B.F.Goodrich wide whitewall bias ply tires add the finishing touch, the senior GM tech fully checked the engine tune for Summer 2017, ready for that Maine cottage or the ranch in Texas, now offered at $47,950
