History of the car by Charlie Kemp:

“I own this 575M that is at Fraser Dante. I bought the car several years ago and put very few miles on it. I picked it up after carefully checking out the car and drove it home. I owned the Ferrari Dealership in Jackson for over 10 years and judged several Ferrari National Concours events. I could not find any repairs on the car they were that good. I knew about the damage. The car was sitting at a party and someone hit the left rear fender. I inspected this carefully and drove the car. There is no real damage and as I said you cannot see where it was dented. It has all the books and tools. I called the original owner of the car and talked to him about it. He had no problems with the car and just wanted a convertible Ferrari.

The car had a new radiator installed and at that time the timing belts and service was done. That was about 2000 miles ago. Everyone seems concerned about the timing belts on cars. I have owned car dealerships since 1967 and find all the concern about the belts is overblown. I have seen cars with 150,000 miles on the belts and they were still good. The interior has had all the wear signs removed, detailed and is in beautiful condition. There was some slight pulling about the very front edge of the windshield pad. The seats and carpets show really no wear and have fresh leather treatment. The engine is strong and the cars drives straight and true. The clutch works perfectly. I have had no problems with the car.

I personally know the company and the owner that did the work on the car. He did a lot of the work on the heads and engines for my race team at that time.  I drove the car to several events and some highway. Because of various things in my work and businesses, I was just not driving the car enough to keep it. I have other collectible cars and have my shop.  I decided to downsize when my old race car mechanic had problems with his health.”
