A very, very nice and beautiful 1967 Mustang Convertible with GT options in top driven show condition, a really striking and original CandyApple Red factory 'T' color, really straight body that has restoration work from top builder, has the GT lights in front, original San Jose car, this is a correct red bucket seated interior car, tremendous effort is made on the mechanicals and suspension to make this a fully restored Mustang convertible, only 700 miles on the full restoration, both body and full mechanicals have been completely restored by a top North Georgia builder with all the work checked and then finished in the Fraser Dante shop, has a fresh built 302cid engine, 4v carburetor, excellent dry reading compression, ranging from 197psi to 203 psi per cylinder (LINK), dual aluminized exhaust system, note areas like the fresh fuel tank, the excellent suspension are completed, originally a 'C' code car and uprated to be a top driven show car, C-4 automatic transmission, excellent Vintage air conditioning, fresh front disc brakes, terrific original floors, (LINK) this beautiful car was initially painted by a man in the Atlanta area the color is gorgeous and just buffed by a top professional, could be a very low mileage car, has the working '67 hood turn signals, see www.fraserdante.com, for FULL INFORMATION AND PHOTOS, the '67 body style is extremely aggressive looking as used in the '68 Shelby Convertible and similar to the 2006-9 Mustang body style, many 'car people' love the aggressive look of the '67-'68 model years that are the basis of the current production today, this factory forceful look is very desirable and hard to find in such fine shape today, full fresh restoration of an original 'T' (CandyApple Red) code car, original '67 California 'R' production of a 'C' code, VIN #7R03C143754, Datatag decodes as Body(76A) 2-door bucket seat convertible, Color(T), CandyApple Red, Trim(2D) Red Vinyl, Date(30L) Nov. 30 '67, DSO(71) Los Angeles, Axle(O) 2.79:1, Trans(W) C4 Automatic, produced in San Jose with DSO Los Angeles, (LINK) note that this car has an original Owner's Manual (SEE LINK), the mileage noted going back to 5/5/94 shows as 64,594, today the mileage reads 79,424 so is possibly correct, this is an original CandyApple Red car that was recently repainted by top painter in North Georgia, the mechanical work was initially done by a top restorer in North Georgia who no longer is able to do such fine work due to health reasons, final buffing and polishing just completed by a professional 'finisher' for Fall 2008, looks terrific, new black power proper top, modern Air Conditioning with late model compressor, a complete fresh, new unit that works exceptionally well, brand new power steering unit, engine compartment completely show detailed to top driven show quality, note that this was an original 'C' code, 289/2V carburetor as produced that has the proper 'R' VINs both on both inner front fenders that are important for authenticity and value, restored with 302cid GT engine completely rebuilt by a top professional with under 700 miles, there is not such thing as a matching number car and this is a better engine to use with a stock look, should one desire to bring to driven MCA concours show, one could find a date coded 289cid block and put on a 2v carberator and intake, this would hurt the driving abilities of this terrific car, history shows that a well known engine builder in North Carolina took an '88 or '89 5.0L block, completely and fully rebuilt engine, believed to be a standard bore, whole new valve train - valves, retainers, springs - all done on car, crankshaft turned, full bearings, everything done to make engine of approximately 300 horsepower fresh engine, heads completely redone with screw in studs, heads have roller rockers, expensive 351 HO camshaft which gives strong performance and specially matched to work with automatic transmission and power disc brakes, excellent compression that runs from 197 to 203 lbs in a dry cold reading just taken, all of this is authenticated by the engine builder with the final tune by Fraser Dante, correct show Open Mustang Cobra polished valve covers to look stock, Holley 4V carburetor on Edelbrock Performer intake, Petronix ignition, Taylor 8mm high performance expensive spark plug wires, engine is extremely strong and reliable, exhaust has Tri-Y headers to an aluminized full dual exhaust system, proper 'A' code turn downs, standard mufflers that give a nice sound, this gives more power and sounds excellent, one could always have the new Flowmaster Series 44s if they chose for an more aggressive 'rumble', has a heavy duty radiator just flushed with new coolant, in order to achieve great looks with the rear end chunk as well as rust free fuel, a brand new fuel cell is just installed (SEE PHOTOS), terrific front power disc brakes, the brakes are all fresh, checked and have excellent brake cylinders, the front discs were redone in the initial restoration with the final work by Fraser Dante with photo documentation, (LINK) brake pads are like new, the rear shoes and wheel cylinders were completely redone with photo documentation, has the front Shelby 1" anodized heavy duty front sway bar, brand new shocks, fresh rear springs and full suspension check with emphasis on great handling with many receipts to document said work, brand new alignment completed, BF Goodrich Radial T/A P235/60R15 tires mounted on '67 correct Mustang chrome styled steel wheels in 15x8 desirable version that has a stock look while yield better handling, in trunk the metal is believed original, the inside quarters are painted correct red with the spare tire and jack, all fenders are believed original on car, the rear quarter have had some work and it is very hard to see by only by going way up in the trunk, really beautifully done, the floors are believed original with very light black undercoating underneath, work has just been accomplished to make them set for top driven show, note the rear end chunk is even detailed with red oxide, see inside photos of the floors (SEE LINK) that show how exceptional they are with the carpet out, note the correct insulation, the interior is finished with excellent red buckets, brand new red 80/20 loop carpet installed in final restoration process with photo documentation, new outside sill plates just installed, all chrome around the car is new, the front and rear bumpers look beautiful, all the trim pieces are new, the dash beautifully done with brand new instrument cluster bezel, red dash pod just installed, Mustang Custom Autosound AM/FM/Cassette with remote CD mounted in the trunk, the working in-hood turn signals and the beautiful front GT fog lights mounted in grille are checked to work, in 1967, note that 'C' code, 'A' Code, and 'S' codes all could all be GTs, the car really drives better than one can image for such a period car, the engine runs strongly with a great sound, way under costing to finish so beautifully with the beautiful paint, the gorgeous chrome and the top mechanicals, a great car for Fall 2008 ready to show and drive, $36,950
