1970 Triumph TR6 that has excellent records, history and top restoration in both mechanicals and cosmetics, the Jasmine Yellow gorgeous show paint is complemented with the biscuit interior, fresh original engine, proper rebuilt dual carberators, 4 speed transmission with working overdrive, nice original burled wood dash, Panasonic AM/FM/CD, the TR6 with VIN/CHASSIS # CC/54996-LO and BODY #55210-CC looks terrific with the and the very nice chrome, final detailing brings out wonderful luster to make the paint extremely smooth, has the stock restored steel wheels are fitted with Michelin 185/15 red line radial tires, this car performs outstandingly with the best year for power, 1970 is the highest yield of horsepower as pollution started the next year, with 105 horsepower, the 6 cylinder with number #CC/54708-E is an overhead valve 2498cc engine that has a strong 142 lbs of torque, outstanding compression of 161 to 169 lbs (SEE LINK) taken in a dry cold reading shows how fresh the engine build is and what fine condition this engine is in, the dual Zenith Stromberg 175 CD-2 carberators that were recently rebuilt for the second time, this fine build could even yield more power with the outstanding numbers, the engine detailing is just completed for top driven show presentation, the exhaust system is an aluminized system that will look good and not rust, has a original sounding muffler with correct rear exhaust exit, fitted with the overdrive 4 speed transmission, this combination makes this an outstanding car to drive, many books for maintenance are part of the package, having the British Heritage Trust record (SEE LINK) helps in the fine history and of this nice 1970 TRIUMPH TR 6 FOR SALE, as a late 1970 build (DATATAG), this would be near the last of the higher compression, powerful engines in this landmark British sport car, history has the original keys that have been with the car its whole life to be kept in the file while as second set is used to turn the ignition, history shows this car won the Driven Class at the Santa Rosa Wine Country Concours d'Elegance in 2003 (SEE PHOTO), then the car went to Florida, then to Atlanta, won the People's Choice at British Car Days at Berry College in North Georgia in 2008, when set for Fall 2008, a professional detailing is just completed, the final detailing is just finished for Fall 2008 with a professional 'finisher' to give excellent luster to the very pretty paint that is a top, top driven show quality on this wonderful Triumph (SEE LINK), the chassis is believed to be a four owner car, mileage is shown at 72,630 with the initial restoration at 65,100, the frame and floors are most solid, since all the whole underchassis is painted red oxide and frame color is mostly black (LINK), the photos will not show how nice it really is, one can tell that careful attention has been given to this car for years, in the last restoration, this has good 'U' joints, new lower control arm bushings, good tie rod bushings just checked, new front end link kit, new rear end link bushings just installed, constant work was done in this area with final cleaning done Fall 2008, a lot of the carberator and suspension work completed in Atlanta, has front sway bar for excellent handling, the brakes are just checked with the front discs having about 90% life and the rear drums the same, the wheel cylinders are dry, very good brake and fuel lines along the frame, the car has a average top along with a brand new one that is part of the package, this means that this is always driven with the top down, one could put on the new one for shows, has a nice boot and also has the correct tonneau cover, recent work has the tonneau reworked by an excellent interior specialist, this piece is used all the time, note that the rubber seal around the new windshield is as new, the rubber side door window moldings that hold the water out of the car are also excellent, the headlights lights with sealed beam units work, brake lights, the chrome around the whole car along with the front and rear bumpers is very, very fine, even the headlight bezels are redone, the rear taillights, running lights and turn signals have excellent plastic, the windows roll up and down well, lots of effort in this whole restoration, $21,950
