Original Pontiac 1964 Grand Prix in Nocturne Blue very nice paint and body, excellent steel body, this is the top of the line in the year for the wide track Pontiac with the luxurious and aggressive lines of the Grand Prix, original blue bucket seated interior, VIN# 894D34921 has all original parts from recent full examination, the 389cid engine has excellent compression, proper Carter AFB 4v, correct intake and heads, full engine detail just completed, power steering, power brakes just gone through, this has a hard to find interior with the original blue material has just been fixed for minor flaws including the welting by a professional interior man, all of this for driven show and cruise night enjoyment, factory console with factory vacuum gauge, factory tilt original steering wheel, the dash is just reworked and detailed to be as factory with work just completed, with correct 1964 Pontiac radio that could be rebuilt, (LINK), these areas are hard to find, 4 Pontiac floor mats, automatic, air conditioning that does not work at present, all "Safety Plate" glass, dual mirrors, (3)T3 headlamps, correct steel wheels and FACTORY SPINNER HUB CAPS, 215/75/14 Sears whitewall radial tires, very, very nice original floors that are all original and quarters, all very solid, Owner's Manual, to make this top of the line Pontiac, the Gran Prix had butyl rubber body mounts and added insulation in '64, along with the 120" wheelbase helped make this a very quiet and smooth-riding car, superbly styled with extra attention to detail evident in the interior styling, (DATATAG) - Style 64-2957 (2-door Sport Coupe), Body BA 4101 (Doraville, GA), Trim 269 (Dark Blue), Paint WW (Nocturne Blue top and bottom), Acc C60, VIN number 894D34921 decodes to 8 cylinder Grand Prix, 1964, built in Doraville, GA, car was found in Atlanta and the restoration and updating completed and still in Atlanta, has the original 389cid Trophy V-8 engine, rated at 306 horsepower with 4v carberator that has a highly rated 430 lbs of torque, block stamping is 26k6, 550847 showing and correct dated engine, heads are 9773146, intake has the last numbers of -00274, this is proper for the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, compression just taken is excellent 186 to 200 lbs in dry reading just taken (SEE NOTE), this would assume that a rebuild was not long ago or a low mileage car as shown by the original seats, very nicely detailed engine compartment just completed, correct dual exhaust system with $800 just completed from the exhaust manifolds back, the 4bbl Carter AFB Carburetor has just been tuned for excellent driving, proper air cleaner, has the flushed Harrison 4 row radiator with shroud, note this is set up correctly as a Grand Prix with model lettering and badges behind the front wheel, rectangular front parking lamps, GP lettering on the driver's side grille, grilled over rear tail lamps, concave rear window, fresh rear window package tray just restored with the original material taken our and redone in Fall 2008, wood grained dashboard trim, 'new' dash just installed with a hard to get but non-working 1964 Pontiac radio, should the new buyer request, this radio could be sent off and restored, has the rare factory vacuum gauge on the console that looks great but does not work at this time, these are very hard to find, has the original and very hard to find 1964 Grand Prix spinner hubcaps, radial white wall tires, note the professional buffing just completed for Fall 2008 to give a great look, (LINK), very hard to get Pontiac Brochure for the model 1964 year, $14,950
