Absolutely fabulous 1957 Thunderbird that is completely restored to the highest standards both mechanically and cosmetically, this really beautiful 1957 Thunderbird for sale is finished the gorgeous Starmist Blue is contrasted with Colonial Off White interior that gives a beautiful look that is 50s stock color and looks terrific, the whitewalls and the chrome hubcaps make this an automotive work of art, rebuilt 312cid/4v, automatic, power steering, power front disc brakes, uprated suspension, air conditioning, this car has a record of the Original Invoice (see LINK), extensive records include many documents of the history that includes three restorations that included frame-off work are part of the file with the last one completed in 2006-2007, then in Summer 2008, the final professional detailing and mechanical check were completed to make sure the 1957 Thunderbird was in top, top condition for driven show, even has the expensive H45 halogen headlights, very rare that 3 tops go with this Thunderbird - hardtop, softtop and tonneau cover, the white soft top is new with proper stainless front header panel strip in great condition, the vinyl is factory correct, has never seen rain, there is an enormous file that documents the full frame-off restoration and the constant attention to meticulous detail, freshly built 312cid/4v, the proper Ford engine works outstandingly, has been rebuilt with excellent compression, has hidden modern electronics hidden for outstanding mechanicals while yielding outstanding detailing for a completely stock look in the engine bay, car has electronic ignition and alternator that has the stock pieces to pass show judging, note the correct spark plug wiring, the Holley 4v carburetor works terrific with the correct Thunderbird air cleaner, all the glass is superb, side factory wind wings, front disc brakes have been installed for safety, the records show this car was initially restored in the 70s, then in 1994, it had a frame off restoration, then in the 2006 and extensive further restoration (NOTE THE PHOTOS SHOWING EXTENSIVE RESTORATION), the photos that are shown are only part of the enormous file documented the meticulous work on this 1957 Thunderbird, this has a wonderful top condition underchassis, according to records in the file and the last owner (SEE STATEMENT FROM LAST OWNER), there is over $65k in restoration, very seldom does one see such wonderful records that show this car came from California to Vermont to Atlanta, the suspension was completely redone, tie rods, ball joints, brand new shocks were installed, note that very expensive rear leaf and front springs have just been installed, final alignment to make sure the car drives outstandingly is done to make sure this can be enjoyed, the final detailing including the terrific underchassis is detailed for Summer 2008, note the tires are Goodyear wide whitewalls in the 205/75a4 radials, these are great looking for the period look and better handling, one could choose the original bias ply whitewalls should they desire, also, the fluted 1957 hubcaps are very correct and have Ford stickers inside, the information given is that the rear skirts are original Ford units and that is why they fit so well, this Thunderbird also has a front sway bar installed with heavy duty bushings, this couples the rest of the suspension to make this a joy to drive, lots of engineering work is completed on this car, also note that all the chrome trim and bumpers look outstanding, wonderful luster, has the dual outside chrome mirrors, NOTE the dash has the Thunderbird newer replacement AM-FM radio that fits the stock location...the 1955 to 1957 Thunderbird is the most desired collector car in the USA according to USA TODAY, the 1957 is the final year of the classic Thunderbird, it was and is an instant classic, this is a highly prized car to own, especially in this classic color from a fastidious collector with the final work by Fraser Dante for Summer 2008, to make sure this drives safely and well, the headlights have just been replaced with very expensive flat faced halogen H4 headlights, the underchassis shows the frame off work that is today a drive show condition, just below the trailered class since great effort is completed to make sure this drives even better than new, here is an investment piece that is now being offered at well below costing, a top driven show car, manuals, $62,950
